May we be a catalyst to unite our community to meet the needs of others by engaging the entire community to embrace and encourage those in need while equipping all people with opportunities to connect with pre-existing community resources.
Arrangements & Logistics
This team is responsible to obtain the equipment & supplies required for event The team is also responsible to recruit a site setup team AND a site cleanup team while managing the Command Center during event.
Books & Literacy
Join us as we offer books and reading time to encourage family literacy. Our Public Library will be available to receive a library card. We are even hoping donors might sponsor to forgive fines and encourage increased reading at our library.
Connections responsibilities include: (1) mobilize congregations & intercessors; (2) coordinate prayer; (3) offer random acts of kindness events; and, (4) ensure every prayer request is connected to a local congregation.
Responsible to recruit participation among community-based organizations who offer helpful and relevant services and resources to the working poor, elderly, veterans, and children.
Entertainment could include balloon animals, mascots, bands, choirs, clowns, drama teams, giveaways, dance teams, instrumental musicians, jugglers, mimes, puppets, special sports entertainers … and more.
Footwashing & Shoe Distribution
Obtain donations for the provision of free shoes/socks for children and adults. During the outreach the team is available to ensure a warm greeting, clean water supply, and willingness to pray with Guests of Honor.
The Finance Team is responsible to increase donations, monitor expenditures, process receivables & payables while generating monthly financial reports.
Responsible to obtain food and beverages required for the food tent. During event, volunteers will prepare and serve a luncheon to all Guests of Honor and volunteers.
Oversees grocery distribution which involves unpacking pallets and systematically bag groceries while stocking the distribution tables and offering abundant groceries to each Guest of Honor.
Ensure accessibility and translation services available to Guests. During event, offer Guests grocery coupons, count, and graciously greet all Guests at Welcome Center.
Haircuts & Beauty
Responsible to recruit professional barbers and hair stylists to provide free haircuts to our Guests of Honor. Additional services include free manicures, facials and other beauty-related services for women Guests.
Medical & dental professionals, pregnancy & prenatal care, nutrition, domestic & substance abuse counseling plus free screenings for blood pressure, hearing, vision, general exams, dental checkups, immunizations, and/or referrals.
Procure carnival games, inflatable activities, giveaways along with clowns, face-painting, concessions, balloons & decorations, games, learning activities plus singular entrance/exit gates and Child Recovery Area for lost children.
Marketing & Social Media
Responsible to prepare and distribute media alerts, public service announcements, and press releases. This team is also responsible to promote the outreach through all social media, print, radio, online, and TV marketing outlets.
Responsible for recruiting prayer partners; providing quality training honoring diverse denominations; and, linking with the Church Relations & Connections Team for post-event prayer and discipleship
Provide an opportunity for our Guests of Honor to receive a quality family portrait. Beyond the obvious tangible gift of a portrait, this area services an even higher purpose … affirming the core value of the family.
Safety & Accessibility
Responsible for all security planning and pertinent coordination including recruiting and orienting Safety volunteers available to serve at event.
